Anyone know how much it is to upgrade from a Regular pass to Platinum pass?

I bought passes every year until you stopped taking pre paid credit cards 😥

Is halloweekends included when you get season passes

Bought mine last October, a dozen + visits every year with free parking makes it a good value.

How much is the tax on a pass usually?

go on weekends pays for itself

Does it apply if you renew your pass from last year?

Katelyn McFarland Ashlee McFarland have you guys thought about this anymore?

Wish it would last longer I don’t get paid till tomorrow

Just renewed my pass 😍

wow delete truth about needing of our children in doing away with ohio learning standards aka common core, and AIR tests tying to teachers evals.. seriously are you that bought out b y GATES to silence in asking in support in which you have neglected but chose to be brown shirts to promote what they want you to promote, shameless.. all about $$$$, not what really matters, our children.....

How about fixing ohio learning standards aka, common core, AIR testing tying teachers evals to the tests..with pychimeteric adaptative unfair tests of our children, only for data collection that doesn't even help parents, teachers in gaging the students needs in subjects..because tests results do not help teachers in their classrooms. When students are already promoted to next grade, figjt for our children!

I guess I must be in the minority. When I go to a park and pay as much money to get in, I want to see employees who are clean with appearance. Having tattoos all over your body, unkept facial hair, and hair that is an unnatural color makes people look like they are carnies!

I worked a weekend at cedar point for a fundraiser 2 years in a row and I cannot believe the terrible conditions you allow your employees to work in. 12 hour shifts in the sweltering heat with MAYBE a 10 minute break to scarf down a quick snack.... which, by the way, does not include any of the food that is served to your guests. Maybe if you actually treated them as employees rather than animals you wouldn't have such a hard time keeping it staffed in the first place.

As a shareholder with a sizeable investment in Cedar Fair I am glad to see this. As long as the workers do their jobs properly, respect the guest even when the guest acts like a jerk and is fast and efficient without compromising safety I am all for it.

By "updating" you must mean that you've completely given up on finding clean cut, respectable looking candidates to fulfill those positions.

I don’t care so much about tattoos or facial hair, but please hire friendly and efficient workers with some personality and enthusiasm.

Cedar Point pays minimum wage. Millennials are probably the only ones who can work for pennies in the sweltering heat and not die.

I STILL talk about the amazing customer service skills I learned during my two seasons at Cedar Point (94 & 95). The highest of standards applied such as no chewing gum, smoking or stopping to talk with friends, anywhere in the eye of the public. It’s about the customer experience and no matter what color your hair is or tattoos are showing, I just hope that customer service remains an unchanged standard!

Glad your policy is updating to modern and getting out of the stoneage. More businesses need to get on that trend.

If you don't like this, stay home. These people need work also. All I care about is a polite worker, exchange please and thank you's with me as I do you and I'm totally supportive.

My mom's male nurse in the nursing home had tattoos, facial hair and piercings, he was one of the kindest, most compassionate people ever. He was there and cried with me when she passed!!

Must be their solution to combat the understaffing. Anyone else notice they turned off their facebook reviews after their score kept plummeting from last fall? This park has turned into a joke.

Seriously, does it matter if someone has a beard and tattoos to say “Welcome back, riders”? As long as they aren’t drunk or shooting up black-tar heroin, I’m okay.

Awesome! So glad to see a business like this taking this step. Especially somewhere that specializes in entertainment should be more lenient when it comes to modifications

It is so funny to see such a large collection of backwards philistines. Keep living under your rural rock. Times change. You are being left in the dust while the world continues to turn. Oh wait. People like you think it is flat. LOL

I dont understand how some of you can call people who look different from you or have a different personal style than you low class and carnies, saying "this won't be good". Why won't it be good? So because these people have a different personal style from what you have or like you belittle them? I hire new people all the time, I meet new people everyday from all over and I will tell you this most of the tattooed, bearded, pierced, crazy haired people in this world will be some of the nicest, caring, hard working, entertaining, helpful people you will meet. I really hope you people commenting mean things don't have children you're teaching this hatred and bullying to.

More and more companies are realizing tattoos and piercings dont make a person or who they are with some exceptions of course lol

I think it's "only" in USA this is still a problem. Om Norway you can get almost any if not any job - tatooed, bearded, pink or blue hair and even pearced- it's the personality and qualificatons er care about...

Glad to hear this. It’s a part of our culture now. I got my first tattoo in 1995 on my foot and had to keep it covered while working. But I was proud to display it when not on duty!

I worked at Cedar Point back in 1993. It was my very first job. It taught me a ton about life and how to work hard. It also taught me to get to college and get a degree! If I remember correctly the pay was awful but if you stuck it out for the contract you were able to get a bonus in the end. My roommate was from England. They came to CP to work and travel before returning back home. I feel like they kinda get stuck! The breaks were very few because the minors have breaks every few hours.. I met some amazing, strong friends for life. We supported each other. In the end I was glad I did it!

Its odd, whenever I meet people with tats or beards, they seem to be more laid back and caring about the things they do. Sure, they have a different personality, but one that people can respect and understand.

Cause yea all that means what? So becus i work in anursing facility and i hve visible tattoos and piercings what does that mean. Ive worked there 12 years my residents love me! The people i work for love me! You are no less of a person or employee because of this! Infact some of these peope might be your best quality workers! Get a grip. U dont like it dont show ur face plain & simple!

For all the walking and standing in the blazing sun I don’t care if Dennis Rodman (spelling) gave me a drink 😂🤣😂 Or handled my food as long as his hands are clean

What is even more hilarious is if you visit there you are going to see hundreds of bearded, tatted, colored hair people anyway. They are called guests. LOL

They are having a hard enough time staffing the park after school goes back! Early season and end of season! It will help by Lifting these rules!

I dont care what the people working there look like as long as they can do their job properly. Keep people entertained while waiting in line and make sure the rides are being ran safely. Not much to ask

Last year, we figured if I used my Platinum Pass 3 times, it pays for itself. I made over 20 visits coming from West Toledo. Well worth every cent.

Maverick was a terrible ride!

You'll need to get a healthy tax return to cover the price of tickets at Cedar Point now a days. LOL

They need to make a all cedar fair pass cause i do kings island and cedar point i would like to visit some of their other parks

See you May 2nd for the Hoedown.

I peed my pants on this one

A platinum pass is a steal if you make sure you use it. I get the dining plan and drink plan as well.

Sorry Cedar Fair, you just priced us out of the park...

And I just renewed on Saturday. Darn!

I was there in 1993 And rode all the coasters. Now that you have rebuilt this coaster to be a hybred someone asked me what kind of wood you used in the rebuild? Pressurtreated , Regular , Composet or what. Thank You. I really enjoyed my day there in 93. At 79 years I think my coaster days are over. I'll stay in NH and watch them on the computer screen Talk Again Howard Caswell

Darn, I renewed mine Sunday 😭😭😭😂

Corey Hyter, tax free lol

I just purchased my entire families platinum passes 2 weeks ago and called your offices to see if there were going to be any promotions for new pass buyers and was told no promotions. So, after over $1000 in passes, I’m out almost $100 in taxes you would have paid. Very disappointed Cedar Fair.

I cannot wait for August! Got the fast passes purchased and ready to go!

Of course i bought mine 2 days ago

WEEKEND UPDATE: Here’s a sample of some highlights from the weekend.
> There were 38 EMS runs this weekend with 12 that were alcohol/drug related and 10 that were fire-related calls. Two females overdosed and were revived with Narcan.
> Lots of parents were in Oxford this weekend, keeping that ever-present supervision of their college kids and problems at bay. Many organizations had out-of-town trips to Tennessee this weekend, so hopefully, Nashville and Gatlinburg PD never got acquainted with those MU students.
> More warrants were served, which is quite the consistent theme the last few weeks. Stay out of Oxford if you have a warrant since we seem to have superpowers in warrant-detection lately.
> We received a report of a man buying gas on his former employer’s account. This has been going on for several months and had apparently slipped through the cracks somehow at the workplace. Here’s a tip for employers: upon the release of an employee, review and deny their access to the company accounts. Doing this may take some time on the front end, but it’s better than paying for 5 months-worth of someone’s gas!
> A credit monitoring agency caught an illegitimate loan taken out in a man’s name (identity theft scenario.) The agency contacted the man and gave him a heads up. Because of the notification, he was able to put a stop to the loan and keep his credit intact. In another case, a conscientious debit card holder noticed unauthorized activity on her card and quashed it immediately before any more damage was done. Follow these examples--it certainly pays to vigilantly monitor your accounts.
> An 18-year-old male jaywalked and stumbled in front of cars that had the green traffic light. He actually had to be held up by the officer to keep from falling. A 17-year-old female was found stumbling through a cemetery. We’re dying to know why she was there, but she was so drunk she was unable to explain.
> There was an early (12:30pm) OVI crash, in which the vehicle struck a parked car and a tree. The driver is suspected of having drugs and alcohol on board. Lab results are pending.
> A couple spent the night in a house, and in a bed, that wasn’t theirs. In fact, no one in that house knew who they were, but assumed someone else did. After the couple left, the residents all put their heads together and realized they just provided the romantic crash pad for this couple for the night. Good time now to do some laundry.
> And a “shout out” to the older gentleman at the Oxford restaurant this afternoon who asked what I was doing lollygagging and eating lunch when I should be writing this update instead. Love him!

It’s April 16th and it’s 35 degrees, snowing and windy in Oxford, Ohio. Totally ridiculous. Have a super week, everyone—let the warm days begin!

Great update, despite the disappointment in certain behaviors. Thank you all for what you do.

This always makes my Monday!

Thank you as always! You folks are appreciated!

Thanks as always for doing these. Funny and kindof sad at the same time.

Seems it's not safe to be in Oxford on the weekends!

I feel safer in Oxford with our top notch police force then anywhere.

Haha love it especially the part of your die ing to know

Thanks for the update! You are a great department!

Thanks for sharing

You're the best Laura! Love the lollygagging 😂

Thanks laura and opd. For keeping our streets safe for our children..and ourselves...

Can you arrest Mother Nature? She’s off her rocker and has got to be breaking some sort of law by providing this type of weather.

Now i know why i have to wait so long to see the weekend update.lol

The girl stumbling in the cemetery. 😂
