Ohio state is turning into DBU. A first round corner in each of the last 3 drafts I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I would love for Denzel Ward, Sam Hubbard, and Jamarco Jones to be drafted by the Raiders! I'll take any of them, but 2/3 or all 3 would be amazing!

What about JT? lolol

7-8 draftees and 12-14 will sign contracts. Built by Buckeyes.

How much of our d-line is returning?

Rest in Piece Bruce you brought us back from the Cooper years....

Now days truly good people are hard to find. Coach Bruce was one.

Would be a nice helmet sticker for this year - just sayin’ OSU.

He definitely bled scarlet and gray.

Should had never been fired much better record than Cooper.

RIP Coach Bruce. Thank you for all you've done for The Buckeyes.

Enjoyed a number of breakfasts at Hellas with Coach. Genuine as they come.

Classic, Meyer should wear a fedora on opening day,now that would be CLASSIC RESPECT.

That's a pretty slick tribute photo.

Awesome celebration of life of Earle Bruce on 10 tv this morning. Thank you

A CB sticker on the helmets would be a fitting tribute.

The Ohio State respects history and tradition. Its great to see them honor Earl Bruce's legacy.

Love it. And prayers for his family. Rest in peace Bruce

RIP Bruce you were a great one

Prayers for those left to grieve this awesome man.

very good coach and huge BUCKEYE man ! RIP !!

Your Wild Ohio - Hunter
Biologists recorded three popular forest game bird species displaying simultaneously in Waterloo Wildlife Area in Athens County. The American woodcock, ruffed grouse, and wild turkey each have slightly different preferences regarding forest age and structure. The presence of all three species within earshot suggests this area is providing a diverse mix of high quality forest habitat types. Have a listen in the video below. vimeo.com/266303204

The ruffed grouse is the bird I haven't heard or seen in years. My last sighting was in Washington twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio near the Washington Baptist church on Church Hill rd. She was crossing the road with her babies. April 1992.

Did not here a grouse

The Free Fishing Days weekend coming up on May 5 and 6 offers Ohioans of all ages the chance to experience the fun of catching a fish. Here are some helpful tips for taking a youngster out fishing:

• Keep the trip simple by considering a child’s age and skill level.

• Choose a pond, lake or stream where children will be able to easily catch a few fish.

• A spin-cast reel is usually the easiest for kids to use.

• Bring a camera and snacks.

• Be patient – plan on spending time untangling lines, baiting hooks, landing fish, and taking pictures.

• Most of all, have fun!

Ohio’s Free Fishing Days are open to all Ohio residents and extend to all of Ohio’s public waters, including Lake Erie and the Ohio River. This is the only weekend all year that does not require anyone 16 or older to obtain a fishing license. Don't forget! Ohio State Parks is also offering a camping discount during Ohio’s Free Fishing Days. Campers can receive a 20 percent off discount May 4-6 by using the promotion code 18ANGLER. ow.ly/U9ja30jzuiw

Prescribed burns (or controlled burns or fires) take place across the Buckeye State annually. Such initiatives help restore important habitat, creating healthier ecosystems and preventing the spread of larger forest fires by reducing “fuel,” or dense, dry, and overgrown areas of land that are fire-susceptible. Prescribed burns also create “fire breaks,” or clear, open areas of land, which help responders contain and control fires in the event of wildfire sparked by a lightning strike or some other cause. As a tool for wildlife managers, wildfires are vital for many plants species to thrive. By conducting carefully controlled burns, wildlife species that rely on these fire-dependent tree and shrub species will greatly benefit. Learn more at youngforest.org/controlled-burning

Pictured: a recent controlled burn at Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area on the Holmes/Wayne county border. Species benefiting from this program at Killbuck Marsh include sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans, American woodcock, grasshopper sparrows, Eastern meadowlarks, and cottontail rabbits.
