Cleveland Indians' Roberto Perez, Francisco Lindor excited about returning to Puerto Rico to play Twins
2018-04-16T12:23:03+0000
Perez and Lindor made trips to Puerto Rico during the offseason. Perez returned right after the Indians were eliminated from the postseason by the Yankees in October because his mother's house in Mayaguez was destroyed.
Roberto Perez and Francisco Lindor arrived Sunday in Puerto Rico for a two-game series against the Twins on Tuesday and Wednesday, but during the winter Perez and Lindor made several trips to their hurricane-ravaged homeland.

There are nearly enough guns in America to arm every single citizen. ...

Should America try a buy-back program to reduce gun violence? 'Guns: An American Conversation'
cleveland.com
Australia reduced firearm suicides and homicides after a firearm buy-back program. Should America try something similar?
Honestly, articles like this aren't helping. The gun buy back in Australia was a confiscation, not really a buy back. At the time Australia did this, records show crime was already reducing to its lowest point. America for as many guns are owned, has less problems than what is lead to been reported. If you don't believe it, check the FBI statistics on gun crimes. Also, it's reported that between 500k-3 million crimes were prevented due to legal gun ownership.
Once again the criminals are not going to sell back their guns look at Chicago fewer guns in the hands of law abiding citizens and you have the highest gun violence
I love all the gun "nut jobbies" posting all their gun nut agenda. Further proving that people need to not have guns. They make themselves look unstable.
Anyone who wants to hand over their guns...inbox me
Only "nearly" enough guns to arm every citizen? We've got to step it up!
Nope cuz you are setting yourself up to be a victim

Religious participation is on the decline in America, but why? Our researchers have some answers. ...

Why is organized religion on the decline?
insights.osu.edu
Religious participation is declining among Americans, even though religion remains very popular. According to the recent national studies, the percentage of Americans who believe in God, attend religious services and pray daily has declined significantly during the last eight years, especially among...
1. tax exempt money machines 2. you don't need religion to be a decent human being
I always laugh at these studies and surveys. Every year my church welcomes new members into the fold. We don't think of it as a race first of all. We're not trying to offset attrition. As the saying goes you get out of it what you put into it. Quality over quantity every time. Not everyone who joins a church stays in any church.
Before 2016, I would have said that more people were thinking critically, but now in 2018, I’m not so sure about that.
Because the government ran education has made us think it's all science and no religion. Our constitution gives us "god given rights" destroy religion destroy our rights.

Joel Osteen’s house. There is your answer.
Each church has their interpretation of scriptures that make people confused which is the right church
Because science has disproved many religious beliefs throughout the centuries. I would challenge anyone to come up with one example where religion has disproved a scientific principle.
Because it is the end times. We have become lovers of material things instead of spiritual things. It is scriptural.
Because thoughts and prayers do not work?
Tithing.
Atheist secularism, and apathetic parents are the main reason, IMHO.
So many variables...one big thing that stands out to me is the standard so often preached is so often abused by those preaching it. In other words, the hypocrisy of religious leaders urging congregations to lead a life of God can't even do the same in return...scandals at the highest levels have eroded the trust once so automatic. Now, there are questions before you even begin. Individual spiritual enlightenment doesn't need confirmation from the masses for it to be just as relevant, impactful, and divine. If we are talking fellowship and community ... those things are more organized than any "religion"
I always want to be a "religious" spiritual person but belonging to an "organized religion" has me questioning it after being Catholic all my 71 years. And seeing a lot of the other organized churches going in the same direction.....money money money..especially these TV preachers who are a disgrace and hope there is a special place in hell for them. Eg. Joel Osteen....
Not with this Buckeye. Growing in Christ every day.
Because there is no god.
Because it doesn't stand up to the most basic scrutiny.
It took 10 years plus colleagues to figure this out? Must have been a paid research.
I believe in spiritualism very heavy, but not organized religion, but thats just me.
Hmmmm... not difficult to figure out when you see how many people involved in organized religion act. 🤔🤨🙄
Because it's all bullshit?
Traditionally the church met both spiritual and social needs, however social media now meets social needs, so people don’t feel compelled to go.
Makes you sleepy man

How will China's new tariffs impact our local farmers? Our experts weigh in. ...

Soybean Tariffs Expected to Hit Ohio Farmers Hard
cfaes.osu.edu
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Soybeans have now been added to the list of American products slated for tariffs in China, a move expected to hurt Ohio farmers in a state whose main crop and agricultural export is soybeans. China is Ohio’s most important soybean export market, so a tariff on American soybeans ...
Hey all you anti Trump ppl, we new this was going to happen. Soybeans, farmers are the only Trump card we as Americans have to play against an enormous trade gap. I guess you can say farmers are the only ones that work there ass off to feed the world. So stop trying to say we told you so and on and on. Trump cares about all Americans and won't leave any of us behind however he needs us to be behind him and have his back. It's called the art of negotiating. Pretty sure he knows more about that then most. Calm down ppl.
So im not a farmer, but id say if im going to lose money on soybeans I'd probably grow corn. Let the Chinese get their soybeans else where. Again, I have no clue how this works.
Is it too early to say we told you so?
So what happens next is that congress will pass a “farm bill” which will allow purchasers to buy at normal pricing or below cost. The lost revenue will come from the bill earmarking taxpayer dollars making up the difference. In other words - it’ll screw over John Q. Taxpayer.
Ok!! but this sounds a little out of sorts/China isn't the only country to sell soybeans to..don't print something and leave loose ends???
Other countries are lining up to buy the soybeans.
《PROPOSED tariffs》 during trade negotiations - will they be implemented? NOT LIKELY.
Welcome to Trumpland.
🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ He campaigned on tariffs. The electorate of Ohio voted Trump into office. If people didn’t recognize foreign nations would be retaliatory towards such actions they were living a fantasy.
This is only a thing because your President made it one.

So grow corn instead. God bless President Trump for sticking up for America's steel and coal industries!
Congrats Ohio
Wow I like how people in Ohio voting for trump seems to be an issue. As if Ohio is the only state who grows soybeans 🤔
Good for them most voted for the village idiot.
It’s unclear if or when China will follow through on the threat of 25 percent tariffs on American soybeans in China. Taken right out of the article . . .
so much for helping the American people by putting these tariffs on foreign products.
