Possessing one of the banned accessories is a misdemeanor with a mandatory minimum punishment of 180 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.

No bump stocks had been turned in to Columbus police as of late Wednesday afternoon, the day they became illegal as part of new citywide gun regulations.
