Ohio Department of Health observes increase in cases of hepatitis A tied to certain risk factors

Ohio is reporting 79 hepatitis A cases associated with the outbreak so far this year, almost double the number of cases reported during all of last year.

As of June 20, ODH data show Lucas County with 20 cases and Hancock County with five. Other counties cited were Wood with three, Ottawa with two, and Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot with one each.
