Beers with the DMG Editors

Today we celebrate Dominic who has tetralogy of fallot (TOF) with pulmonary atresia and subglottic stenosis. Dominic was born in September, 2015 and though just a little small, he was a “normal” baby. At his two month check-up, his pediatrician found there was something wrong with his heart/blood flow through his body and immediately called for transport to Cleveland Clinic Children’s, main campus. He was immediately put into the PICU and had his first heart surgery that night. During his first year of life, he had many complications and other health issues that meant multiple lengthy hospital stays, two major heart surgeries and several dilations of his airway.

Through all of this, he is the happiest, sweetest little boy with a smile that can brighten a whole room! He loves Mickey Mouse and Paw Patrol, loves building with blocks and cruising around in his bat mobile. He is becoming very curious and trying to communicate a lot more! He is the true sunshine of his parents’ lives!
