JACKETS WIN!! ...

Comment on Facebook

I’m wondering where all the negative crying fans went it doesn’t have to be pretty it just has to be 2 points keep it up boys make the playoff push 22 games left

Does anyone agree with me that Wenneberg is the laziest player on the ice every game? In my opinion he does absolutely nothing when he’s on the ice

Thank God. I mean Bob.

We had 2 shots in the 2nd period, and 4 in the third. We definitely need more spark.

Under siege man but we stood tall when it mattered ! PP is sickening tonight.

Even beat a seven on six!

It sure wasn't pretty but 2 points in the bank.

Not pretty but way to get those points. Welcome back Murray.

The ref s just love cbj

How about the satisfied look on the guys face in this picture?

Not very convincingly. Hanging on by a thread, need to pick it up!

Defense wins games! WELCOME BACK MURRAY

Good win, Bob bounced back

Much better game played tonight. Way to go Jackets.

Way to go Jackets!!!!

🤟😝🤟

Jackets still up one! ...

Barely up 1...panarin is our only player that can CREATE offense...the rest of them have to have it on a tee or it's not going in..maybe Calvert and Atkinson as exceptions

W means fire up the bandwagon.

Go Jackets

Nice gpal for the kid!

time to trade him before he gets injured again

Harrington

They look tired already.

Welcome back

Astonishing

Murray is trash. Most injury prone player in cbj hx

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

At the Zoo, we support many organizations and conservation projects. One organization near and dear to my heart is @Nellie’s Champions For Kids (NC4K). NC4K is an organization that assists families whose children are battling cancer. Here at the Zoo, we have partnered with NC4K by creating this calendar called “Fighting Faces.” The calendar features children who have or are currently battling cancer as they have their photo taken alongside Columbus Zoo animals. Proceeds from the calendar go to conservation and #NC4K. This little boy is Nicholas and he is holding animal ambassador, Francesca, a coatimundi. Nicholas was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, but is now cancer free!!!! I enjoy spending time with these children and introducing them to the animal ambassadors. Plus, seeing the smiles on their faces during their photoshoot sure puts a smile on mine! A huge thanks to Shannon, Animal Programs Coordinator (and my co-worker), for leading this amazing project. Be sure to check out NC4K.org website or visit the Columbus Zoo’s gift shop if you’re interested in purchasing the “Fighting Faces” calendar. –Brannon, Animal Programs Specialist ...

Yea Nicholas!!!🎈🎉💗

Training medical behaviors for our animal ambassadors is extremely important for the animals and their health. We use positive reinforcement, which is a technique were we ask an animal to do something and we reward them with food if they choose to participate. Here, I am training our 3.5-year-old cheetah, Misi, for voluntary x-rays without anesthesia and she’s receiving her meat diet with an extra tasty treat that she loves—raw chicken! These voluntary x-rays are important for us to be able to provide the best animal care as well as allow our animal health team to monitor her overall health. –Brannon, Animal Programs Specialist ...

Is that a dog I hear barking in the background?

Yes those are dogs you here in the background. They use them for companionship and training. Yes you are correct they are labs.

Exactly what are you asking it to do in this video demonstration??? Just curious...

Emily Huebner yup I’m gonna need a hand with these X-rays

I bet that is nerve racking in the beginning of the training process!

Is she the one from the farm?

Such a beautiful cat.

Seemed at home

Pretty girl!

Are you ready for this adorable #ThrowbackTuesday? You may remember this cute face—yes, that’s Chewbacca (aka Chewy)! Chewy is an Amur tiger who was born at the Columbus Zoo in April 2015. Shortly after his birth, his first-time mom Irisa did not show maternal care and our animal care team stepped in to help rear him. Although, after her first litter, Irisa has since had two other litters and is an excellent mom! In the Animal Programs department, we raise many baby animals, and Chewy was one of them! Chewy quickly became a favorite of mine due to the amount of time that I spent raising him. When Chewy turned 4 months old, he was then on view for guests in our Asia Quest region. I was sad I wasn’t going to see this boy every day, but the Asia Quest staff took amazing care of him and even sent me weekly pictures and updates! Chewy is now at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo based on a recommendation from The Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan® and I can tell that he is just as loved there as he was here in Columbus! –Brannon, Animal Programs Specialist

My favorite Chewy picture! He was such a goober!

My FAVOURITE animals at the Zoo! I even have a tiger tattoo! But I have always wanted to see for myself what their fur feels like... it looks so soft and plushy! I have a lot of vision loss, so I am kind of obsessed with the texture and feel of different kinds of animals.

Loved visiting Chewy. Very sad when he left. 2015 pic

Amy Umphrey LOOK AT HIM!!! ❤️

I miss Chewy😢 I enjoyed watching him grow up at the Columbus Zoo❤️

Chewy!

He loves playing in the water!!! Such a cutie. Visitors to CMZ love him and so do his keepers, very much.

Big Cats; the most beautiful creatures on Earth!!!

I miss Chewy 😭😭😭

Love Chewy. He was adorable, even as a "big" tiger! Miss him!

That is great as all of us Team April & ALF love both of the zoos mentioned.

What a beautiful little guy! How lucky are you!!

What a beautiful boy.

Every day is different here in the Animal Programs department. This lady is Adele, and she is a scarlet macaw hybrid. In September, we worked with Big Bend Wildlife Sanctuary and rescued 16 macaws from poor living conditions during a puppy mill raid in Alabama. After a lot of training and time, Adele is now an amazing animal programs ambassador. Adele’s name is a nod to the singer, Adele, because Adele the macaw’s favorite thing to say is “hello!” –Brannon, Animal Programs Specialist

What is she a hybrid of?

What a beautiful bird!

She is beautiful!

Another part of my job (and the animal ambassadors’ role) is traveling with the one and only Jungle Jack Hanna. Whether it’s taking the animals to The Late Late Show with James Corden or a theater speech in South Carolina, we are constantly spreading the message of connecting people and wildlife, as well as conservation. Notice my special “purse” on my shoulder? This is actually a pouch that we use for kangaroo joeys who are being hand raised after their mothers did not care for them. Shout out to kangaroo Fergus (seen here) for helping us teach people about wildlife and wild places! –Brannon, Animal Programs Specialist

Jack on the old Late Night with David Letterman show was a real hoot. He really almost single-handedly put the Columbus Zoo on the map nationwide.

I believe I got up close to that guy before, may not be the same one! I love the markings on his nose

Love Jack and Susie Hanna! Have seen them a few times in Michigan, Ohio and Florida. Such wonderful ambassadors!

I love #JackHanna! I miss him being on Letterman. They were hilarious together. I would LOVE tomeet him.

Jack Hanna and crew, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium are great. Thank you for everything you do for animals and for reaching out to people of all ages.

I love this Zoo. We now live close to Knoxville and their zoo does not compare to Columbus.

Me and Baby Jill, Fall 2016 <3

Oh wow my daughter volunteers at our zoo in Louisville she would of loved that
